Jesus came to earth, died on a cross, and was raised to life to rescue us from sin, make us alive, and bring us into eternal relationship with God. Salvation is not only a matter of life after death, but also the way to live an abundant life on earth with Jesus, here and now. Beginning new life in Christ is not a matter of church attendance, economic status, age, race or any other factor. Salvation is simply a free gift offered to everyone, and accepting it is the greatest decision that anyone could ever make.
First, realize that God loves you.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Second, realize that everyone is a sinner.
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:12 “Wherefore as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin, for that death passed upon all men for that all have sinned.”
Third, realize that sin has a price that must be paid.
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Fourth, realize that Jesus Christ died to pay your price.
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth (demonstrated/proved) his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew know sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Finally, repent of your sin and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you so that you may receive eternal life.
Romans 10:9, 13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
If you ask Christ into your life and trust him alone to be your Savior, He promises you eternal life.
